COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs police are looking for the man who attempted to rob the Aventa Credit Union Thursday but didn't actually get away with any money.

The man went into the building around 11:50 a.m. and gave the teller a note demanding money. However, he fled the union without any cash.

Police said he is a white man in his 30s or 40s. He is more than six feet tall and weighs more than 200 pounds. He wore eye glasses, a dark baseball cap, green shorts, a dark blue short-sleeved shirt over a red long-sleeved shirt, white socks and black and white athletic shoes.

Surveillance video showed he also had tattoos on his lower legs.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them or CrimeStoppers.
