EL PASO COUNTY, COLO. -- El Paso County Sheriff's deputies made two additional arrests in connection with the burglaries in Black Forest Jan. 9. However, the stolen urn which contained one resident's late wife's ashes is still missing.
Deputies arrested 34-year-old Damon Brimer Tuesday on two counts of second degree burglary, aggravated motor vehicle theft, identity theft, possession of a weapon by a previous offender and a failure to comply charge. They also arrested Scott Farr for intimidation of a witness.
Deputies arrested 29-year-old Jeremy Farr, Scott's brother Jan. 19 in connection with the same string of burglaries.
As part of the string of burglaries Jan. 9, the thieves took an urn from Bob Herrle's home on Delwood Drive in Elbert, Colo. The urn contained his late wife Terry's ashes. Herrle asked them to bring it back, and detectives began an investigation. Six days later, someone dropped off the urn in the Church of the Nazarene parking lot, but another person took it before church officials or deputies could retrieve it.
Authorities are still offering a reward for the urn's return. Anyone with information on the urn's whereabouts can contact the sheriff's office or CrimeStoppers.
Brimer's bond is $14,000, and Scott Farr's bond is $50,000.
