COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs police arrested a man and a boy in connection with an assault on a man trying to sell firewood Monday afternoon.
Police arrested 18-year-old Steven Enlow and a minor around 2:18 a.m. Tuesday and said they anticipate more arrests.
The victim was selling firewood in front of the Galley Discount Liquor store in the 4300 block of Galley Road in Colorado Springs Monday afternoon when five people who police describe as 16 to 17-year-old boys drove up in a car and surrounded him.
The boys demanded money, but the man said he didn't have any. One of the suspects hit the man in the face, another grabbed some firewood, and they left in the car.
An officer pulled same car over early Tuesday morning after seeing it matched the suspect car description. The two suspects arrested were in the car, and police are looking for additional suspects, including a man who is about 20 years old who drove the car Monday but did not get out to confront the victim.
