Springs Police on accident alert status

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- The Colorado Springs Police Department went on accident alert status just before noon Sunday.  This means if the accident does not have a fatality or injury that requires an ambulance, no driver is suspected of driving under the influence, or the accident hasn't damaged public property or wildlife, drivers are asked to exchange information themselves and report within three days to authorities.

Drivers should exchange: names, addresses, telephone numbers, date of births, driver's license numbers and state and owner if different from driver, the vehicle year, make, model, color, license plate number and state, vehicle identification number, and insurance company, policiy number, expiration date, agent's name and number.
