ATLANTA -- Colorado Springs police received help from the FBI Atlanta Fugitive Task Force in the arrest of 25-year-old Robert Hunt, who is accused of killing 27-year-old Eddie Wilson in Colorado Springs July 30.
The Colorado Springs Police Department's Homicide Unit worked with the local FBI field office and Atlanta FBI officials to investigate and locate Hunt in Atlanta. He was arrested Dec. 29.
Hunt allegedly shot Wilson outside an apartment complex in the 1000 block of South Chelton Road early that morning. Police found Wilson's body, and the coroner later ruled the death a homicide.
Hunt is facing a first degree murder charge. Officials said they don't know whether he will be extradited to Colorado Springs for prosecution.
