COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A Colorado Springs woman was stabbed early Friday morning, allegedly by a friend who wanted to borrow money.
Police said the victim told them that a friend came by her home near Academy Boulevard and Airport Road about 12:30 a.m. and asked to borrow money. The victim offered some money, but the suspect wanted more and tried to grab all of the victim's cash. A fight ensued, and the suspect grabbed a kitchen knife, stabbing the victim three times in the calf. The suspect then fled the residence without getting any loot in the attempted robbery.
The victim drove herself to the hospital, where she was treated and released. She was uncooperative and refused to provide any suspect information.
