FOUNTAIN, COLO. -- Fountain police arrested three people accused of kidnapping a man before throwing him out of a car back in August. Two of the three are adults: 18-year-old Tanner Humphreys and 21-year-old Percy Drake. The third suspect is a minor.
According to police, residents in a home in the 6000 block of Provincial Drive said they had a guest Aug. 21. The man staying with the residents was assaulted and kidnapped by the suspects.
About 15 minutes later police responded to a call in which they found a drunk man who had been pushed out of a car. The man was taken to the hospital for injuries he suffered from the fall and released. Police said it was the same man who had been kidnapped earlier.
After a three month investigation, police found the three outside of the city of Fountain and made the arrests with the help of the Colorado Springs Police Department and the El Paso County Sheriff's Office earlier this month.
The three are facing charges of attempted second degree murder, second degree kidnapping, second degree assault, second degree aggravated robbery, second degree aggravated motor vehicle theft and second degree arson.
