COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- It's Thanksgiving, and that means friends, family, food and football.  While you're probably watching turkey day NFL games in the comfort of your (or another's) home, there are many restaurants and bars in Colorado Springs dedicated to following certain NFL teams. These bars gather displaced and long-distance fans on Sundays and show that team's game, which usually cannot see at home because the game is out of the region.

After making many phone calls and doing extensive online research, we have put together a list of a few bars dedicated to showing a certain team and collecting that team's fans every week. We recognize that not all teams or bars are represented, and we know that there are likely teams whose fan bases gather at more than one location.

Denver Broncos fans, for example, reside at many locations throughout the city, so they are not listed in the map below.  However, if your a fan of the Raiders but living in enemy territory, there is a place for you to see your team play. Will's Sports Pub downtown has a collection of Oakland fans, where Raider nation is strong. Just up the road, another Bronco rival fan base, Chiefs fans, gather at BJ's Restaurant and Brewery. And if you're a Chargers fan, Indigo Joe's on the city's northeast side is the place for you.

The 'team-themed' bars extend beyond the AFC West though, something Chargers fans know very well. They share their space at Indigo Joe's with Browns fans, who have their own fraternity of fans nationwide called the Browns Backers. But they aren't the only fans who may see enemy fans at a bar. The Overtime houses two sets of fan bases on Sundays as well. The Chicago-themed bar bleeds blue and orange with Bears fans, but the owner admits the Steelers fan base is more dominant, meaning Chicago fans are forced to watch their game in the back room if the teams play at the same time.

Fans of both New York teams can bicker at 2 Dog tavern, a place employees of the bar admit isn't a strong Jets or Giants following every week but does have its loyal patrons from both teams.

Fans of two preseason Super Bowl contenders share their enthusiasm at Champps on the northwest side. The Cowboys have one of the strongest fan followings nationwide, and 'America's fans' get rowdy on Sundays. But another group, though smaller, has more to cheer about this season.  Ravens fans seem to be pushing along another playoff team and also meet up at Champps.

The final bar we know of that draws fans of duel teams is Oscar's Pub on the east side. It may have been the most active on Super Bowl Sunday last year, as Saints fans had a lot to cheer about. In addition to Saints fans, the pub also brings in Packers fans. It will be an interesting place to be if those two teams end up seeing each other in the playoffs.

Another strong fan base, that of the Vikings, has a following in Colorado Springs as well. Their fans gather at Time Out Sports Lounge, where, for the rest of this season, they will be watching a team not guided by Brad Childress.

There are multiple Old Chicago restaurants in the city, but only one claims to be the place for Redskins fans. The Old Chicago on Commerce Center Drive off I-25 is where fans of Donovan McNabb's current team hang out, while fans of his former team, the Eagles, can grab a cheese steak and watch their team at the Taste of Philly on South Nevada.

The AFC East has a strong following in the city.  In addition to the Jets, the Dolphins also have a hangout. Kelly O'Brians on South Academy is the self-proclaimed 'home of Miami Dolphins football.' Division rival New England hosts its local fans right around the corner at Bombers, and local Bills Backers can watch their team play at Rhino's Sports & Spirits on Barnes and Powers.

And finally, last year's AFC champions, the Colts, have a meet up location as well - at Harry's Sports Bar.

Our map below shows this breakdown in the city.  We know we didn't get every team or every location.  If you know a place where a group of fans hang out to watch games, please leave a comment below and tell us where so we can add it to our map. We want to hear from you.
