COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A water main break is still affecting the commute Friday morning.
Circle Drive remains closed in both directions between Constitution and Patrician Way.
The pipe burst Thursday morning, flooding the street with water which quickly turned to ice.
Circle is expected to re-open later this morning... after a contractor repaves the roadway.
Officials say the break was likely due to the age of the pipe.

Original Story:
Constitution Avenue in Colorado Springs was closed in both directions near Circle Drive due to a water main break in the area Thursday morning.
Colorado Springs police said the break is causing the street to flood, and because of cold temperatures, that water was turning to ice.
Eight homes did not have water service for most of the day but do now, as the main has been repaired.
Circle Drive will remain closed overnight between Constitution and Patrician until the contractor can come out Friday to pave the road.
Officials said the age of the pipe is the likely cause of the break.
