COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police are looking for a suspect who robbed the UMB bank in the 700 block of Citadel Drive East on Tuesday, Nov.2.

He is described as a Hispanic man in his early to mid-40s, 5'6" to 5'7", 165-175 pounds with an average build. He had short black hair combed back and a thick mustache. The suspect wore a bright red pullovermade of "silky" material, with a half zipper and a horizontal black stripe . He also wore dark gray or faded black jeans and white sneakers.

Police said the suspect went into the bank just after 11:30 a.m. and handed a note to the teller, demanding specific cash denominations and implied he was armed. The man put the cash in a black folder similar to the size of a pocket calendar. Witnesses did not see a weapon or a suspect vehicle. K9 units led officers south across Platte to the area of East St. Vrain and Delaware Streets.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Springs police at 444-7000 or Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.
