COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A Colorado Springs police officer was taken to the hospital as a precaution after being exposed to toxins when 40-50 gallons of old gasoline spilled onto the road in the 2900 block of Pinnacle Drive.

The city police and fire departments responded and used biosolve to break down hydrocarbons in the gasoline and neutralize the spill. Officials said the spill poses no environmental hazards.

The Haz Mat team is cleaning the spill.

Nobody else was injured, and the exposed officer is being evaluated.
