COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- The annual Veterans Day Parade will march through downtown Colorado Springs on Saturday, Nov. 6 at 10 a.m.

This year's theme is "Veterans, Diverse and Determined".

The parade down Tejon Street (from St. Vrain to Vermijo) will honor all veterans for the sacrifices they have made in defending our freedoms.

The parade will include more than forty veterans groups and more than two-thousand veterans spanning from WW II to the current conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.

More than a dozen marching bands and floats will also participate.

The 2010 Parade Grand Marshall is Millicent Peterson Young.

Young is the parade's first ever female Grand Marshall.

She served in WW II as a Women's Air Force Service Pilot (WASP) and was recently recognized with the Congressional Gold Medal for her service in Washington D.C.
