COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. (AP) -- The outsourcing company Affiliated Computer Services Inc. says it plans to hire 450 people for its call center operations in Colorado Springs.

ACS, which was recently acquired by Xerox Corp., said Wednesday that it is looking to hire for a range of positions, including supervisors and call center agents. It says it needs new employees quickly to support a wireless provider, whom ACS didn't name.

ACS and Xerox already employ about 1,600 people in Colorado.

ACS has scheduled an open house on Nov. 6, when qualified candidates could be offered jobs on the spot. Wages are at least $10 an hour but vary by position.
