Stretch of 21st Street closed due to water main break

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Utilities says South 21st Street is closed in both directions between Broadway and Villa De Mesa due to a water main break Thursday.

Officials say a 16-inch pipe broke over night.

Crews are on the scene and repairs are expected to last most of the day.

Motorists will need to plan alternate routes around the area.
