COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- The El Paso County Coroner's Office has ruled the death of the man found in a car at Rustic Hills Apartments Tuesday morning a homicide.
The man has been identified as 37-year-old Martique Webster, and he died from a gunshot wound to the head, according to the coroner.
A security guard found Webster unresponsive in a car around 1:15 a.m. Tuesday. Webster was transported to Memorial Hospital, where officials pronounced him dead.
This is the 23rd homicide in Colorado Springs this year. There were 17 at this time last year.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
