FORT CARSON, COLO. -- Family and friends gather at Fort Carson Tuesday morning to welcome home around fifty soldiers with the Second Heavy Equipment and Transportation Company, 43rd Sustainment Brigade
The soldiers were deployed for approximately year in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
While deployed the troops assisted in the transportation of heavy equipment throughout the Iraqi theater.
They also greatly contributed to the pull-out of troops from Iraq prior to the new mission Operation New Dawn.
