CRIPPLE CREEK, COLO. -- Authorities have released the names of the two people killed in a house fire late last week in Cripple Creek.

Police say 27-year-old Joshua David Carroll and 19-year-old Erica Nicole Girard were found on the second floor of a home on West Carr Street in separate rooms.

The coroner says they both died from smoke inhalation.

51-year-old Keith Girard - who also lived in the home - was taken to the hospital with burns on his hands and feet.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
