MONUMENT, COLO. -- A gas leak in Monument, Colo. forced crews to close Highway 105 between Furrow Road and Archer Road Thursday afternoon.
The Lewis-Palmer School District reported the leak and said it blocked bus routes in South Arrowood, Forest Heights and possibly the northeastern part of Bent Tree.
High school and middle school students were rerouted to L-P Elementary.
It's the third time in as many days that a gas leak has forced utilities to close roads. On Tuesday, Colorado Springs Utilities shut down part of Circle Avenue, and on Wednesday, police had to close Mount Washington and evacuate some homes because of a similar leak.
