Cripple Creek under boil order advisory

CRIPPLE CREEK, COLO. -- Mountain Mutual Water Co. has issued a mandatory boil order for Cripple Creek Mountain Estates until further notice Wednesday.

A water sample in the area tested positive for the bacteria E. coli. The sample has been sent to the Teller County Health Department, but results are not expected back until at least Thursday.

The area covers about 200 households.

The county said all residents to boil their water until they hear differently.
