Three injured in serious car crash

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A serious accident Tuesday night put three people in the hospital.

State patrol said the two-vehicle crash happened around 9 p.m. at the intersection of Security and Fontaine Boulevards.

State troopers said one of the victims was taken by helicopter to an area hospital, and the other two were taken by ambulance.

The extent of their injuries is unknown.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
