DENVER (AP) -- Thunderstorms in the Denver area and on Colorado's eastern plains have dumped several inches of rain in some areas and have spawned four tornadoes.

There were no immediate reports of damage from the tornadoes, which touched down briefly Monday afternoon near Deer Trail, Agate and in Morgan County in northeastern Colorado. Jim Kalina of the National Weather Service in Boulder says the tornadoes were weak.

However, there is damage from heavy rains in Lafayette in Boulder County where the roof of a fitness center has partially collapsed. Officials say no one was injured and the building is safe.

The weather service says there is minor street flooding near Iliff in northeast Colorado after about 2.5 inches of rain fell in 45 minutes. Flood warnings and advisories were also issued for parts of western Colorado.
