Crash sends two cars over embankment on I-25

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A crash on I-25 Saturday afternoon led to six injuries after two vehicles went over the embankment onto the road below.

Police said it happened on southbound I-25 between Bijou Street and Cimarron Street. They said a vehicle hit the median, then overcorrected sending two vehicles over the embankment.

Two people were transported with critical injuries and another had life threatening injuries.

Traffic was down to one lane on southbound I-25 as crews cleaned up the crash.
