Coroner: suspicious death was homicide

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- The El Paso County Coroner's Office ruled the suspicious death Wednesday at the New Horizon apartment complex a homicide, with the cause of death being multiple sharp forced entries.

The victim was 27-year-old Colorado Springs resident Rebecca Schilthuis. Authorities released her identity Thursday.

Police are still investigating the sixteenth homicide in Colorado Springs this year.
