DENVER (AP) -- Democrat Andrew Romanoff has surged in his primary challenge against Colorado Sen. Michael Bennet, according to a Denver Post poll.
The newspaper and KUSA-TV reported Sunday that Romanoff has closed a double-digit deficit to Bennet and now holds a narrow lead of 48 percent to 45 percent, with the rest undecided.
The poll by Survey USA had a margin of error of 4.3 points.
Republicans showed in a change in their primary race for governor.
Tea-party favorite Dan Maes led 43 percent to 39 percent over former Rep. Scott McInnis, who recently admitted to plagiarism.
That poll had a margin of error of 4.1 points.
The polls of likely voters from both parties were conducted by telephone last week.
