COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A water main break continues to cause traffic problems Wednesday morning.
Colorado Springs Utilities (CSU) says both northbound and southbound lanes of Circle Drive between Palmer Park Blvd. and Merry Lane will remain closed throughout the day.
The 8'' water main broke between 9:30 and 10:00 Tuesday night.
More than a dozen businesses were without water for several hours.
Utilities crews worked through the night to stop the leak, however there remains a hole in the road and lots of standing water.
CSU says to avoid the area if at all possible as traffic delays are expected throughout the day Wednesday.
