COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Want to get discount tickets to selected shows at the Pikes Peak Center and Colorado Springs World Arena?
Now, you can, with a little help from a local Website, www.PikesPeakontheCheap.com
Linda DuVal was on FOX21 Morning News to explain how it works.
First, call the group sales office at 477-2116 and talk to group sales manager Whitney Gonzalez or send her an e-mail at Whitney@worldarena.com.
"Tell her you’re with the 'Pikes Peak on the Cheap Group'," says DuVal, "She’ll give you a minimum $2 discount on each ticket, and you’ll save the $7 to $12 per ticket fee you pay at the convenience ticket outlets – saving you $9 to $14 per ticket."
DuVal says participants will also get the best selection of seats, because group sales are available before the tickets go on sale to the general public at the box office.
Some tickets also get extra discounts if purchased by a certain date.
The group tickets are available now for select shows, and include: the “Make A Difference Tour” on Oct. 21 featuring Toby Mac, Third Day, Michael W. Smith and Max Lucado; and, on Nov. 23 & 24, the "Radio City Christmas Spectacular" starring the Rockettes.
Both shows are at the Colorado Springs World Arena.
"On the Rockettes show if you tickets before Aug. 1 you will save even more," says DuVal.
Discounted prices for the 'Pikes Peak on the Cheap Group' reflect a 20 percent savings off each ticket: $57 for seats on the floor or in the lower bowl (regularly $70.50); or $41 for seats in the upper bowl (regularly $50.50)."
"That’s a savings of about $12 per ticket, plus the convenience outlet fee – for a total savings of as much as $24 per ticket," says DuVal, "These tickets do not go on sale to the general public until Aug. 12."
The 'Pikes Peak on the Cheap Group' discounts also will include the upcoming 2010-2011 Broadway in Colorado Springs season, featuring: Disney's “Beauty and the Beast,” Dec. 1 & 2; Monty Python's “Spamalot,” Feb. 8 & 9; “Legally Blonde: The Musical,” March 9 & 10; David Sedaris, April 23; and “Grease!” on May 11 & 12.
Details will be published on the site as they become available.
