NORTHGLENN, COLO. -- A woman is dead after her car was hit by a wrong-way driver on Interstate 25 in Northglenn.

The accident happened late Monday.

Drivers reported seeing a Toyota RAV4 driving southbound in the northbound lanes of I-25.

The RAV4 hit multiple vehicles but the driver continued on.

The driver of a 1991 Honda Accord station wagon tried to steer away from the wrong-way driver but the RAV4 hit the passenger side of the Honda, killing an unidentified woman.

Investigators suspect the driver may have been using alcohol or drugs.
