Driver killed in morning rollover accident identified

FOUNTAIN, COLO. -- Update

The driver of the vehicle has been identified as 29 year old Janessa Hammonds of Pueblo West. 

Keith Calip, 31, of Colorado Springs was the passenger in the vehicle.  He is currently in good condition at Memorial Hospital.

Alcohol and drugs have been ruled out as factors in the accident, however the cause is still being investigated.

A rollover accident Friday morning on I-25 in Fountain has killed one person and sent another to the hospital.

Colorado State Patrol (CSP) says the single-vehicle accident happened around 1:30 a.m. just south of the Mesa Ridge Parkway exit.

Investigators say the car was initially traveling southbound when it rolled three times into the northbound lanes.

The female driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

A single male passenger was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
