COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Update:
Utilities officials say the water pipe is fixed and customers now have water service restored, but it may take unitl Friday to get the road open.
Traffic on Pikes Peak Avenue in the break area between Academy and Murray is still down to one lane each direction while the road is fixed and repaved.
A Utilities spokesperson says they hope to get it fixed this evening but it could take until Friday morning to open the road compeletly.

Update:
Repairs on an 8" water main break on E. Pikes Peak may take all night Wednesday to complete.
Colorado Springs Utilities says 19 customers are without water service and traffic in the area is restricted to one lane in each direction.
Crews hope repairs will complete by early Thursday morning.

East Pikes Peak is closed EB in the 4200 block between Academy and Murray due to a large water main break.
The break was reported around 2:30 Wednesday afternoon.
Colorado Springs Utilities is on scene and working to stop the flow of water and assess the damage.
