COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Republican Senate hopeful Jane Norton is facing a lawsuit challenging her listing on August's primary ballot.

According to The Gazette a Grand Junction man says some of the petition signatures gathered by Norton should be thrown out because of problems with both the people who collected signatures and those who signed.

Thomas Bjorklund says some of them weren't state residents, weren't registered to vote and weren't affiliated with the GOP.

Norton needed 20,133 valid signatures to get on the ballot.

She collected just over 33,000.

Norton says that Bjorklund is a supporter of her opponent for the Republican nomination, Ken Buck, and that Buck is behind the suit.

Buck adviser Walt Klein says the campaign has nothing to do with the suit.
