COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A University of Colorado, Colorado Springs (UCCS) graduate student is the newly crowned Miss Colorado.
Melaina Shipwash is a graduate of Cheyenne Mountain High School in Colorado Springs.
Ms. Shipwash was on FOX21 Morning News to talk about her new role, her platform issue and the upcoming Miss America pageant.
Ms. Shipwash, who once battled anorexia in high school, supports Project HEAL, an organization that raises funds and awareness for eating disorder patients.
