Senator headed to cooking class

DENVER (AP) -- Sen. Michael Bennet is headed to cooking school to promote healthier children.

The Democratic senator planned to help launch a youth farmer's market and take part ina cooking class with children.

The event is designed to promote healthy, fresh food for kids.

Bennet has advocated for more funding for school lunches and changes to make them healthier.

He is seeking re-election this fall.
