DENVER (AP) -- A spokesman for the family of an American who went on a solo mission to kill Osama bin Laden says Pakistani officials have moved him to the capital city of Islamabad and that he'll soon get dialysis for his failing kidneys.

Gary Brooks Faulkner of Colorado was detained in northern Pakistan Sunday. Police say he had a pistol and a sword and claimed he was out to kill the al-Qaida leader.

Stuart Crespin, a spokesman for Faulkner's Colorado family, said Thursday the family doesn't know when he'll return to the U.S. The Fort Morgan attorney says none of the family was planning to travel to Pakistan.

Crespin says the family is getting its information from the U.S. State Department.

U.S. Embassy officials met with Faulkner Thursday.
