Update Tuesday 6:45 .a.m.
ASPEN, Colo. (AP) — Attorneys are still trying to work out the details surrounding a possible plea deal in Charlie Sheen's domestic abuse case.
Attorneys planned to meet Tuesday in Aspen to discuss the case.
The attorney for Sheen's wife, Yale Galanter, said Sheen has worked out an agreement to plead guilty to a misdemeanor assault charge in exchange for dropping more serious charges against him. That deal calls for Sheen to serve a 30-day sentence and to be able to leave jail during the day to work at an Aspen theater company.
Sheen had been expected to enter his plea during a Tuesday court hearing but, after some last-minute negotiations, prosecutors asked for more time. The judge set a new hearing for July 12.

Charlie Sheen set to appear in court in Aspen
ASPEN, Colo. (AP) — Charlie Sheen is expected to appear in a Colorado court for a hearing related to domestic violence allegations involving his wife.
Prosecutors confirmed last week that Sheen reached a plea agreement in the case, but no details have been released and it's possible the deal will be discussed when Sheen is in court in Aspen Monday.
The star of the hit CBS show "Two and a Half Men" has pleaded not guilty to menacing, criminal mischief and assault charges stemming from an argument with his wife, Brooke, on Christmas Day at an Aspen home where they were on vacation.
Community service in his field could be an option. The artistic director of Theatre Aspen says Sheen's lawyers approached her about having the actor work there as part of a plea deal.
