COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Several young women were awarded the highest honor earned in Girl Scouting Thursday evening, the Gold Award.
Girl Scouts of Colorado honored the accomplishments of these inspiring teens at the Penrose House in Colorado Springs.
To earn the award requires leadership skills, organizational abilities, time management, perseverance and a sincere desire to be of service to the community.
Each Girl Scout spent a year on a project of their choice and shared their success stories during a special ceremony.
The Gold Award is the single most demanding award that a Girl Scout strives to achieve.
Several girls also were awarded the Silver Award and Bronze Award.
