DENVER (AP) — Gov. Bill Ritter has signed eight bills aimed at improving health care, including one intended to make the state's Medicaid system more efficient.

The bills signed into law Wednesday also include measures streamlining and standardizing insurance claims, calling for ways to improve access to healthy food and providing access to prenatal care for women who buy individual insurance plans.

Another new measure strengthens current state law by requiring all children 4 to 8 years old ride in a booster seat when in a car or truck.
