DENVER (AP) — Gov. Bill Ritter and former state economic chief Don Elliman are being honored for their work developing Colorado's "new energy economy." The Metro Denver Economic Development Corp. will recognize Ritter and Elliman for "outstanding efforts in economic development" during a ceremony Tuesday. Ritter has focused on building what he calls a new energy economy by attracting renewable energy businesses to the Colorado and encouraging research and development.
