DENVER (AP) — Colorado lawmakers wrapped up their 120-day legislative session Wednesday by passing a controversial teacher tenure bill and killing a proposal to replace the state's standardized tests with new student assessments.

Top accomplishments this year included passing an $18.2 billion budget that dealt with a $1.3 billion shortfall.

Lawmakers spent part of their last day paying tribute to colleagues who are term-limited. They also honored Gov. Bill Ritter, who is not running for re-election.
