Fatal car crash in El Paso County

PEYTON, COLO. -- The investigation continues in a fatal accident in El Paso County that left one man dead and two others injured.

The two-car crash happened just before 6 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Curtis Road and Jones Road in Peyton.

Colorado State Patrol says the male victim was killed after failing to yield the right-of-way at the intersection and was struck by the other vehicle.

Troopers say he was not wearing his seatbelt and was pronounced dead on scene.

Tiffany Borchert, 19, of Colorado Springs and 18-year-old Richard Dillard of Calhan were in the other vehicle. Both were transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The name of the driver who was killed has not been released.
