LONGMONT, Colo. (AP) -- A GM dealership in Longmont says General Motors Co. has reinstated it as one of the automaker's franchisees.
Brett Hajek of Hajek Chevrolet says he told the dealership's roughly 35 full- and part-time employees about the reinstatement last week, and will hold a more detailed meeting Wednesday to discuss the matter.
Hajek said Monday he feels relieved.
GM told about 2,000 dealers last year that they would be dropped from its network by this October, but in March, it said it would reinstate 661 of them. Congress has passed legislation allowing other dealers to appeal.
