CONIFER, Colo. (AP) -- Hundreds of homes have been evacuated west of Denver because of two wildfires, but no damage or injuries have been reported.

Jefferson County sheriff's spokeswoman Jacki Kelly says about 340 homes were evacuated Tuesday because a 5-acre fire in rural Jefferson County.

Officials suspect downed electrical fires may have caused the fire. Elk Creek firefighters and other departments are at the scene.

The second fire has been contained after burning two acres near Evergreen. Three homes were evacuated at that blaze.
