COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — State officials are asking for an order to force anti-tax activist Doug Bruce to provide information about who financed a petition drive to get three measures on the November ballot.

Bruce, of Colorado Springs, did not appear at a campaign finance hearing in Denver before an administrative law judge. He has said he didn't have to attend because he didn't get a subpoena.

The Colorado attorney general's office filed a petition late last week seeking an order compelling Bruce to appear. The attorney general was acting on behalf of the secretary of state's office.

The ballot measures would roll back or eliminate several state taxes and fees. Opponents say that would cripple state and local governments
