LONGMONT, Colo. (AP) — Democrats hope voters see the economy picking up — and Vice President Joe Biden is headed to Colorado to hand his party some credit for creating jobs.

Biden is scheduled to stop by an electronics company in Longmont that is expanding a factory thanks to federal stimulus money. The vice president has been touring the country in praise of last year's stimulus package. Biden calls the stimulus a "rescue" in tough economic times.

Democrats are talking jobs and hoping the economy continues to show signs of improvement. Appearing with Biden is Democratic Rep. Betsy Markey, who has said jobs will be a mainstay of her re-election pitch this year.

After the factory visit, Biden headlines a Denver fundraiser for Markey.
