Colorado Springs Recycles event this weekend

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Are you looking for a way to recycle all those items piling up in your basement or garage?

This Saturday, May 1, Pikes Peak Earth Day presents Colorado Springs Recycles.

It's a multi-material recycling event for residential customers.

The goal is to cut down on the waste being put in our landfills.

For a $5.00 entry fee participants can recycle a variety of items including:

* Electronics

* Bulbs & Batteries

* Tires

* Paint

* Ink & Toner Cartridges

* Paper & Plastic

* Clothing & Blankets

(Some larger items may require an additional fee)

Colorado Springs Recycles will be May 1 from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. in the north parking lot at University Village Shopping Center in Colorado Springs (5400 N. Nevada).
