Western AGs to discuss water law issues

DENVER (AP) -- Attorneys general from western states are meeting this week to discuss water law, including the Colorado River Compact, the Clean Water Act and transbasin diversions.

The Conference of Western Attorneys General's water law conference runs Thursday and Friday in Colorado Springs. Colorado Attorney General John Suthers chairs the group.

Speakers include U.S. Department of Agriculture Undersecretary Harris Sherman, Colorado Supreme Court Justice Gregory J. Hobbs, Alaska Attorney General Daniel Sullivan and U.S. Bureau of Reclamation Commissioner Mike Connor.
