City on cold reporting for crashes Friday

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Due to the morning's weather and road conditions in portions of Colorado Springs, the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) is on Accident Alert Status.

Citizens who are involved in a crash have 72 hours to report the incident in these instances:

*  Where there are no injuries

*  Alcohol or drug use by drivers is not suspected

Citizes are advised to go to the Public Safety link on the city website at www.springsgov.com, click on public safety, police department, then to forms and documents to obtain cold reporting documents.

Citizens can also go to one of the four police department divisions or Police Operation Center (POC) to fill out a cold accident report.
