A man was dead Friday night, and two others were in the hospital after a shooting and stabbing early that morning.

It all happened just after midnight, when the El Paso County Sheriff's Office received a call from the Domino's Pizza located in the 1700 block of B Street that a man had been stabbed.

Three minutes later, a second call came in that a man had been shot in the 1600 block of Hampton South.

Then, 20 minutes later, a third call came in that a man had been stabbed in the 400 block of Loomis Avenue.

The second victim, the man that was shot, was pronounced dead on scene, while the other two were transported to the hospital and are listed in fair condition.

"We do believe they are all related, and happened within close proximity or were associated with one another," Lt. Lari Sevene said. "There was some sort of an exchange between the individuals, and it is just a matter of us sorting through and figuring out what the reason was for the exchange."

Lt. Sevene said detectives still did not know where the disturbance began or who started it.

She said right now they are processing a vehicle found on Hampton South, along with other evidence from Loomis Avenue and outside Dominos.

"There is no one else that we are seeking as suspects at this time, obviously there is the possibility there may be other individuals who may have been present for the altercation as witnesses, so we are seeking them for questioning," Lt. Sevene said.

At this time, the sheriff's office does not feel there is any threat to public safety.

Meanwhile, neighbors and business owners in the area told FOX21 they were surprised by the crime, and added they hope it does not happen in their community again.

Lt. Sevene said none of the men involved with the crime were active Fort Carson soldiers.

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's office at 390-5555, or Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.

One person was killed and two more injured during an altercation in Colorado Springs early Friday.

It all happened just after midnight at the Dominos Pizza off B Street. The El Paso County Sheriff's Office received calls of shots being fired.

A short time later, another report of shots fired came in from the area of Hampton South, just around the corner. A male victim was pronounced dead on the scene from gunshot wounds.

Officials say two more victims were transported to the hospital -- one with multiple gunshot wounds outside the Dominos Pizza and the other found in the nearby area of Loomis Avenue with stab wounds to the back, chest and head.

No information has been released on the condition of the two people who were injured. The victims have not been identified, but authorities are investigating a possible connection to Fort Carson.

Investigators believe the three victims were the only individuals involved in the altercation but are not yet ruling out the possibility of other suspects.
