HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. (AP) -- Storms have dumped pea-sized hail in parts of the south-Denver area, including Highlands Ranch and Aurora.
In south-central Colorado, the National Weather Service says a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado has been spotted about 25 miles north of Trinidad. A tornado warning has been issued for Las Animas County.
The weather service has issued thunderstorm warnings for several parts of the metro area, including east Denver and western Adams County.
