NIWOT, Colo. (AP) -- Niwot High School is closed Tuesday for additional testing after construction workers found traces of asbestos in a girls locker room.
Students were sent home Monday afternoon, and crews were testing the air quality through the evening. Officials cancelled Tuesday's classes after initial tests showed trace amounts of cancer-causing asbestos.
The school has about 1,280 students.
