GOLDEN, Colo. (AP) -- An arrest affidavit says a woman whose 18-year-old brother is suspected of killing her was found at the bottom of a spiral staircase in their home in Evergreen, with what a deputy thought was a ligature mark on her neck.

Zachariah Thomas Santaguida was being held without bond Monday on suspicion of first-degree murder in the death of 24-year-old Elizabeth Santaguida.

The affidavit says Jefferson County sheriff's deputies who responded to a report of a woman not breathing found her Thursday night, with her pants partially pulled down so that her underwear was exposed.

Sheriff's officials arrested Zachariah Santaguida after interviewing him. Details of the interview were redacted from the affidavit that was released Monday.
